Support of World-Wide Missions: Sending in a Manner Worthy of God
The goal of missions is to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles for His name’s sake. Therefore, we are to send missionaries in a manner worthy of God because they go out “for his name's sake”.
Supporting mission work in Uijongbu Baptist Church must not be done in a shoddy haphazard way. Rather, it must be done in a way that is worthy of God, lifting high his very name.

Outreach to Community: Establishing the Rule of God
The goal of outreach is not to make new friends, feed the hungry, or give to the poor, but to destroy altars, strongholds, and false gods. The goal of outreach is to establish the rule of God in the hearts of the people of the land and make his grace and mercies known. Can we do this by ministering to the hungry, the poor and the homeless? Yes, of course we can, but let’s not make the fatal error of that being the goal. Our outreach must seek the pulling down of strongholds (II Corinthians 10:4).

This morning we’re kicking off a series based on the book of Nehemiah that we’re calling, “A Time to Build.” Nehemiah is one of the great characters of the Old Testament, but perhaps not as well known as some others. I’m excited about what God is going to teach us as we travel through this book. We’re going to learn things that will help us personally, we’ll discover principles that will guide us as we move into a time of building here at UBC, and we’ll end up understanding a critical part of Old Testament history.
